Keynotes to help redefine success in every area of life.

Chelsea Bay Dennis
Come Alive. Be the Change.

You need to do what makes you come alive, that thing you would do all day for free if you could. This doesn’t mean you won’t have bad days or hate it sometimes. But following this passion brings a sense of fulfillment that positively impacts you and the world. This session looks at the importance of using what you’re skilled at and passionate about for good.

Chelsea Bay Dennis is a graphic designer, creative consultant, life coach, speaker, video producer and conscious entrepreneur. Her mission in life is to use what she’s good at and passionate about for good, and to inspire others to do what makes them come alive and make a difference in the world.

Nathan Rittenhouse
Session 1: The Sustainability of Satisfaction

Many young people deal with stress, burdened by the need to find significance in life through material success. Is this approach to life sustainable? Does success and satisfaction come from achievement? In life’s busyness, is it possible to live with joy? This talk considers those questions.

Session 2: Serious Questions just for Fun Q&A

Asking questions is a large part of how we learn. This session offers a safe space for us to question, object, and work through some of the serious questions we have about our faith and our lives.

Nathan Rittenhouse, an Itinerant Speaker with Ravi Zacharias International Ministries, has pursued an incredible ministry of asking and addressing the deep questions of life.

Josh Wilson
Living Right Side Up in an Upside Down World

Our society defines success as fame, money, and power – yet seems to produce famous, wealthy, and powerful people whose lives are complete disasters. We will be discussing how to live a meaningful life in a world that has everything backwards and upside down.

Josh Wilson has been making videos since 2003, including multiple overseas projects in Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Egypt, and Sudan. He’s worked for the reThink Group, VineyardYouthUSA, Greater Europe Mission, and Wycliffe Bible Translators; and has freelanced on projects for Donate Life Ohio, Netflix, Pfizer, and Morgan Spurlock.
Kevin Skarin
Jumpstarting Your Career – Laying the Foundation for Success

Kevin will share the foundational elements necessary for success in your career.  He will weave the story and challenges he faced on the path to owning his own Chick-fil-A franchise into real life lessons.  Learn from Kevin’s experience what it takes to be a success in the now as you prepare for the field into which God is guiding you.

Kevin Skarin is the franchised Owner/Operator of the Chick-fil-A restaurant in Oswego, IL.  As the Owner/Operator Kevin enjoys working with his team, developing leaders, and having a positive impact on his community.  Previously, Kevin worked for Chick-fil-A, Inc. in Atlanta Georgia as an Interim Manager where he led corporately operated restaurants.
Merv Fisher
Optimizing Your Journey

How do you define success? How do you go about achieving your vision of success? In this session, Merv will explore the four areas in life needed to help effectively achieve optimal success: faith, family, fitness, and finances.

Mervin Fisher is an Ex-Amish entrepreneur who started his first business at the young age of 18. Over the past 17 years he has successfully launched 3 companies, formed 2 ministries, and coached multiple businessmen in order to help them avoid bankruptcy. His mission in life is to motivate, encourage, and equip others for success.
Jonathan Brush
A Wisp of Heaven

Sometimes in this dark and fallen world, amid the confusion, hurt, pain, and distraction, the veil parts and a little wisp of heaven breaks through. For a moment, short but amazingly clear, the Kingdom of Heaven is real and visible and tangible. Such moments can change everything. This is the story of a moment like that…

Jonathan Brush is the Executive Director of Student Life and Coaching for Lumerit Education and gets to work with the most amazing student body in the history of the world, which is just as awesome as it sounds.
Gralyn Harris
Making Mentoring Meaningful in Multicultural Environments

Choice and change are both constant in our lives and if we are not well-grounded, we may find ourselves needing far more emotional growth and exercises in redefining success than we feel is our fair share. In this talk, Gralyn Harris will share some lessons that he has gained as a mentor while serving in the military, athletic, and diplomatic fields.

Gralyn Harris has participated successfully in a number of career fields to include public service, military and athletic endeavors that provide him with an interesting perspective on cross-cultural mentoring, goal setting, and life-planning.

CHECK OUT

REGISTRATION HAS CLOSED.

Your food and lodging are both covered in the registration price. During the event, you won’t have to pay for a hotel room or fast food on top of your registration price, so besides your flight to Michigan or gas to drive to the camp, the registration price is all you’ll need to pay!
While this event is very busy with activities planned almost non-stop, there are still students who come and work on assignments while at camp. There is wifi available in most buildings, and there’s a good chance you’ll find a study buddy.
Shoot us an email at cabinet@lumerit.com and we’ll do our best to accommodate you!
My biggest challenge before APEX was actually not being a part of the community even though I had been with Unbound for nearly 3 years. APEX meant closer, meaningful, life-long relationships and beautiful memories. If you’re on the fence about APEX, LEAP OVER FENCE AND GOOOO. Seriously, it will change your life in so many more ways than I could ever explain in words!
Gabrielle Perron
My biggest challenge in school prior to APEX was finding the motivation and courage to just GO for exams; before APEX, it was taking me 1-2 months to study for a CLEP, and after APEX, I did them consistently in about a week. Hearing from so many students about what was possible opened me up to JUST DO IT. I came home motivated, spontaneous, fearless, and open to pursuing the passions I was formerly too afraid to pursue . Best week of my life so far; there is almost no way to come home from APEX without some sort of life change happening. If you go, you won’t regret it.
Amanda Beguerie
My biggest challenge in school pre-APEX was motivation. Because of APEX an accountability group was formed for those who wanted to complete their degrees in 2018. That group has been amazing in support, encouragement, and increasing motivation. I honestly can’t convey how much more I’m enjoying school because of this accountability group and this is just one example of the super impactful, “normal” things that happen at APEX.
